Nguyễn Phú Trọng, born in 1944, has been the general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam since 2011. He served as president from 2018 to 2021. Trọng has led anti-corruption campaigns and held various high-ranking positions within the party and government.
Nguyễn Phú Trọng was born in Đông Hội Commune, Đông Anh district of Hanoi on April 14, 1944. His humble family background and early education laid the foundation for his future political career.
