Brendan Schaub

Brendan Peter Schaub, an American podcast host, former professional mixed martial artist, and stand-up comedian, was born on March 18, 1983 in Aurora, Colorado.

Brendan Schaub made his official UFC debut at The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights Finale against Roy Nelson. Unfortunately, he lost the fight via KO (punch) in the first round, marking his first defeat in the UFC.

In his second UFC bout, Brendan Schaub achieved a quick 47-second TKO (punches) win over Chase Gormley at UFC Live: Vera vs. Jones. This victory showcased his skills and determination in the octagon.

Brendan Schaub faced Chris Tuchscherer at UFC 116 and emerged victorious with a TKO (punches) in the first round. This win added to his growing reputation in the UFC heavyweight division.

Brendan Schaub secured a victory over Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 121 with a unanimous decision (30–27, 30–27, and 30–27). This win further established his presence in the competitive MMA scene.

At UFC 128 on March 19, 2011, Brendan Schaub was initially set to face Frank Mir but instead fought Mirko Cro Cop. Schaub emerged victorious with a third-round knockout, earning the Knockout of the Night bonus.

On October 10, 2015, Brendan Schaub announced his retirement from MMA during an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, following advice from Joe Rogan and Bryan Callen to pursue a career in comedy.

Brendan Schaub welcomed his first son in 2016 with his long-time girlfriend Joanna Zanella.

In 2019, Brendan Schaub released his debut comedy special titled 'You'd Be Surprised', showcasing his talent and humor in the stand-up comedy scene.

On May 29, 2021, Brendan Schaub, despite retiring from MMA, was promoted to the rank of black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Brendan Schaub released his second comedy special, 'The Gringo Papi', in 2022, further establishing himself as a prominent figure in the comedy world.
