Kazuo Inamori

Kazuo Inamori, born in 1932, founded Kyocera and KDDI. He was the chairman of Japan Airlines. In 2000, he was elected into the National Academy of Engineering for his innovations in ceramic materials and solar cell development. In 2011, he received the Othmer Gold Medal for his contributions to science and chemistry.
