Cathay Pacific Flight 700Z Bombing
On June 15, 1972, Cathay Pacific Flight 700Z, a Convair 880 aircraft, disintegrated and crashed over Pleiku, Vietnam after a bomb exploded in a suitcase onboard, resulting in the tragic deaths of all 81 individuals on board. This incident marked the last total hull-loss and passenger fatalities for Cathay Pacific.
